It’s ‘Back to School’ time of the year
New school year, new activities. Back to school is an exciting time after a long summer holiday.
Your children are settling into their new classrooms and meeting new friends. This is a nervous and exciting time. Be sure to give them a chance to express themselves and talk about their day and what they experienced.
Asking open-ended questions gives them a chance to form genuine responses and use their own words to describe their day. After an exciting first week, join us for some fun programs and workshops to help your child decompress. We will be running a Sensory Workshop with Lex & Fox every Saturday from 10 am-11 am. This is a great way to have fun while still helping children with developmental skills such as communication, coordination, increasing their attention span, hand-eye coordination and more!
On Saturday afternoons, we have a Mindful boxing program with Fahima, the first female Emirati boxer! This is an excellent way for older children to expend some of their energy. This program is not only about physical development but mental and emotional development. On Sundays, we are offering a fun workshop with Lablicious. This is a great workshop for our 8-12-year-olds. They will get an opportunity to express their creative side and make candles, bath bombs, and soaps. The classes will start from beginner level to expert level of difficulty. During the week, our mums and dads that have time in the morning can join us for one of our fantastic workshops for toddlers.
On Wednesday mornings, join us for Arabic classes with Baby Arabia. Giving your child the gift of language is priceless. These workshops offer a great opportunity to kick start their bilingual journey. Classes are aimed at children 1-2 years old, and a caregiver or parents should accompany each child. Then on Thursday mornings, join us for Baby Sign Language with Katie Jane. This workshop will help you start your communication journey with your little one early. Connecting with babies can be hard for parents as they are still learning to express themselves. This workshop is a gift for parents and babies alike.
For parents looking to keep their children active throughout the week, we offer after-school camp activities that can be booked daily or weekly. This is a great chance to reduce screen time and keep your child active and stimulated after school. Not only will children have the opportunity to do two planned activities we will also take time to help them with any homework if needed! At the end of the day, they will be ready for dinner and bed!
We hope you all have a great first term, and we hope to see you soon!
